Caring for your knitwear:
Wool is an incredible fiber that has naturally occurring antimicrobial and antibacterial properties, which means that it needs washing much less than other fibers. Air out your woolen between wears, and store with an herbal sachet or in a cedar box, and you’ll find that you rarely, if ever, need to give it a full washing.
When you do need to wash, hand washing in cool water is recommended. Use a no-rinse wool wash, and do not agitate while washing. Squeeze water out (don’t wring it!), then roll in a towel to remove excess water, gently reshape, and lay flat to dry. Store folded to prevent shoulders becoming stretched out.
