Oversized, textured triangle shawl knit flat from the top down. Alternating sections of stockinette and garter stitches in the body of the shawl evoke the meeting of water and land, and are inspired by my fascination with traditional garments worn by fisher folk and sailors in the British Isles.

Pattern is one size. Finished measurements: wingspan 80”, center depth 42”

Skill level: easy - intermediate.

Required techniques: long tail cast on, directional and non-directional increases, purl wise bind off.

Yarn shown is Brown Sheep Lanaloft Bulky, though any chunky - bulky weight yarn will work well.

Needles:
US size 19 32” circular (or longer) needles
